UPA Launches New Version of Score Reporter

BOULDER, Colo. – The Ultimate Players Association, the National Governing Body for the sport of Ultimate in the United States, today announced that UPA.org has launched a new version of Score Reporter, the industry-standard online tool for definitive results, scheduling and tournament formats. Score Reporter is used nationwide for most UPA-sanctioned events and all UPA championships and qualifiers. Local tournament organizers also use Score Reporter to communicate event-specific information and set-up tournament structures.

Created and designed by UPA volunteer Rodney Jacobson (Lebanon, N.H.), the original version of Score Reporter was introduced in 2003, and this year marks its second-ever release.

“Through Rodney’s innovation, the UPA has been able to provide a flexible tool through which the community can share information and track Ultimate events around the country,” said Will Deaver (Boulder, Colo.), UPA Managing Director of Competition & Athlete Programs. “The UPA is excited about the launch of the new and improved Score Reporter, and we thank Rodney for his significant and ongoing contributions to the sport.”

As part of several new features and enhancements, Score Reporter 2.0 distinguishes between UPA college regular-season events and all other events. Beginning in early February, college teams and players also will be able to follow the official UPA college rankings, which impact regional and national bid allocations for the UPA College Championship Series. The new version of the tool is also more flexible, allows for the creation of events more quickly, and is more intuitive for users.

The main page for Score Reporter can be accessed at Scores.UPA.org. A helpful guide with step-by-step documentation about how to use Score Reporter is located within the main menu bar at the top of the page. Questions, along with any user feedback, are encouraged during the early stages of the launch for Score Reporter 2.0 (email: srt_help@upa.org).
